High unemployment is a mixed bag for volunteer-based non-profits. On the one hand, there are some very qualified people who want to fill their time with something meaningful. On the other hand, many of those same qualified people need to pay their bills. I was contacted this week by a potential tutor with an MBA who sent me his resume, to which I had to explain all our tutoring positions are volunteer. However, I passed along a few paid tutoring opportunities that might be helpful for other job seekers:
Locally in Ohio, North Coast Education Services is looking to hire. Click the big “Tutors Needed NOW” button
Nationwide, Kaplan hires tutors and teachers for local test preparation programs.
To work from home, Tutor.com hires during the school year.
